American Chemical Society Recognizes P&G Senior Vice President, Gerard Baillely, as ACS 2024 Fellow

For 15 years, the American Chemical Society (ACS) has recognized members who have made a significant impact on science, the profession, and the organization as a whole. This year, P&G expert Gerard Baillely, has been named a 2024 ACS Fellow alongside 36 other distinguished professionals in the field of chemistry.

An active member since 2015, Gerard has presented at a number of ACS events, sharing his knowledge on topics including entrepreneurship, scientific communication, innovation, and sustainability. He’s also proudly committed to providing aspiring entrepreneurs with the tools needed to succeed when starting and growing successful ventures.

Fostering engagement both inside and outside P&G, Gerard champions knowledge sharing and is passionate about helping other scientists communicate complex concepts to diverse stakeholders. Further, he’s represented P&G on several external boards, facilitating meaningful conversations across various audiences, including the private sector, entrepreneurship, academia, and government.

“Being named an ACS Fellow among all of these accomplished chemists across the public and private sectors is an honor of a lifetime,” said Gerard Baillely. “I am incredibly grateful to the American Chemical Society for establishing and supporting the Fellows program and encouraging professionals and students to push the boundaries of what’s possible in chemistry to improve the lives of people around the world.”
