P&G R&D and LasX Industries Win Best in Class at 2026 PAC Global Awards

P&G’s Research and Development (R&D) team, in collaboration with LasX Industries, was honored to receive this year’s Best in Class designation at the PAC Global Awards. Held in Yorkville, Toronto, at the Futures Edge Summit, this premier gathering highlighted emerging brands dedicated to transforming packaging through innovation and sustainability.

P&G R&D and LasX Industries won the Package Innovation Design – Labels category with LAZR Mark/LaserSharp® Marking, a proprietary, high-performance laser marking and package decoration technology. The solution supports high-throughput production while reducing the environmental impact by eliminating the need for traditional labels and adhesives.

LAZRMark/LaserSharp® Marking significantly improves labeling performance by replacing conventional labels (commonly attached to the package with adhesive) with graphics directly on the packaging, delivering high-quality results at significant cost savings and increased agile production. This approach allows packaging to be made from just one material, making recycling easier and eliminating potential waste stream contaminants (label paper, inks and adhesives) from entering the recycling stream.

This recognition by PAC Global reaffirms the value of cross-functional partnerships for disrupting conventional product development methods. The integration of the new laser-marking technology on P&G products will transform packaging and foster P&G’s goal of driving fundamental breakthroughs to help solve consumer problems.
