P&G Presents Euro Connect + Develop Awards 2024

P&G Research and Development (R&D) has a strong heritage of open innovation practices, led by their Connect + Develop (C+D) experts who seek out collaborations to accelerate and amplify innovative solutions.

The Connect + Develop Euro Awards spotlight collaborations between P&G and our valued regional partners, who have been pivotal in bringing superior products and technical excellence to life. As well as recognizing the best open innovation practices, innovation programs and new project leaders within P&G, we are delighted to announce these top innovation C+D Euro Partner Excellence Awards for 2024. This category accredits a variety of esteemed partners who formed valuable and agile new partnerships, driving the spirit of innovation and the future of superior products. Partners awarded with this honor include:

• Professor João Cabral (Imperial College) – The strong partnership with João Cabral and his team has delivered multiple Microfluidics approaches to enable Predictive Cleaning and Stability at scale.

• IRIDIA (Artificial Intelligence research laboratory) and LISA (Laboratory of Image Synthesis & Analysis), both Institutes of the ULB (Université libre de Bruxelles) – This collaboration has enabled us to further build, sustain, and grow our internal AI expertise while supporting new applications for product analysis and the future of consumer understanding.

• Math2Market – Introduced the simulation software GeoDict, a digital solution to engineer new materials and optimize their performance. It has been established as a digital material laboratory, facilitating the characterization of existing porous materials and the prediction of their behavior.

• PAYER Group – Partnered on manufacturing including production process development of a new to the world drive train for power toothbrushes driving better oral health for more people.

• Newcastle University (Bioscience Program) – Development of a state of the art, high throughput analysis technique that enables unprecedented insights into consumer problems across multiple business units. The patented approach has led to discovery of new enzyme technology, enabled new mechanistic insights, and supported the claims of new ingredients and products.
